Bookselling is a super niche business model, and the information that we need our system to process is a lot more robust than most folks. This means that we have essentially running the bookstore all these years at a big disadvantage. We have been hoping to move from Square to a better company, but it is pricey. However, with Square tripling the cost of their products, which barely function for us anyway, now is the time to make this leap! We need to raise about $9000 to pay for everything. Once this new system is in place, we will be so much more sustainable. The bookstores we have spoken to who use this new system absolutely love it, and their business practices really align with ours. We can’t wait for them to help us!!
The mystery books are pay what you want, starting at $20. You can choose a genre and they will all be either by an Indigenous, queer or BIPOC author. Choose the price you would like to pay here, then choose your genre when you checkout. Each mystery book contains one book, but you can get as many as you’d like of one genre or multiple genres.
